Technology Governance & Sustainability Researcher

Vasilis Kostakis is Professor of Technology Governance and Sustainability at TalTech’s Ragnar Nurkse Department and Faculty Associate at Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society. He’s also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. As P2P Lab founder, Vasilis has led groundbreaking commons research, earning a European Research Council grant in 2018 to study how digital communities can support sustainable economies. He blends theory with action, creating spaces for creative resistance and commons-based alternatives. His research appears in top academic journals and publications like Harvard Business Review and Aeon, with his work translated into 16 languages.
